RICHARD BUSH - BIOGRAPHY

Born in Hampshire, UK Richard Bush studied French literature at King's College before immersing himself into the world of fashion photography.

He initially begun his photographic career on the uncompromising 10x8 format and in December 1999 he was invited to participate in the Creative Futures exhibition, on the recommendation of the renowned M&C Saatchi agency although to date he had had no published work.
Richard is self taught and has a profound technical understanding of photography having followed closely the precepts of the f64 group and Ansel Adams zone system.

Richard began his editorial career shortly after the exhibition shooting for the iconic i-D magazine with stylist Jane How, whom he collaborated for several publications ranging from Another magazine to Self Service.
Since those initial commissions, Richard has continued to create powerful and arresting images, ranging from radical composites to luxurious beauty campaigns and sophisticated high end editorials.
His imagery is unexpected and challenging, uncompromising and always unforgettable. His advertising clients include H&M, Paco Rabanne fragrance, Rimmel, Vichy, Yohji Yamamoto, to name a few.

Richard currently resides in London with his wife and collaborator, stylist Sarah Richardson.
